Not everyone could attend the LEDucation conference in New York yesterday, so I thought I’d share a few photos and videos of the innovative solid state lighting products I saw there.

We’ll start with a slick little desk lamp. The Heron LED Task Lamp may have been the most eco-friendly product on the show floor of a conference devoted to environmentally responsible lighting. Attractive styling, energy efficiency, and high-quality light output are only the most obvious attributes of this lamp.

It’s disappointing and frustrating when cold, hard reality intrudes on our ideals and the vision that we want to create for our businesses or ourselves. Whether your socially responsible (S-R) venture has been thwarted by insufficient resources (e.g., time, money, people power) or insufficient (or too much) enthusiasm from key stakeholders, you need some solutions – preferably those that soothe the pain of bruised ideals and still offer a glimmer of hope or encouragement.
